I am normally against any credit card that charges an annual fee, especially a large one such as this one does. However, the benefits of this card allow you to travel like a 1st class passenger at the airport which is a BIG DEAL these days. You get to use the 1st class entrance at the airport without buying a first class ticket, saving you an hour or more in line each flight. Two free premium drinks (cocktails, beer) every flight. As long as you pay off your balance every month to avoid the APR, these benefits far outweigh any "cash back" type of cards. Think about how much you'd have to spend to make up the different in airline fare for a first class ticket? Impossible. You are also always boarding A-List, so you never have problems getting access to overhead bins. This card is a MUST HAVE if you travel as much as I do and I would highly recommend it.

I like this card, but the details of your rewards points(from Southwest; not from Chase) are not disclosed. You will receive promo offers from Southwest from time to time(for example 2x rewards points if you buy from Home Depot or 3x points for purchases at Sears). What this means is you will get 1 point from Chase for every dollar spent and extra points will come from Southwest. When you sign on to the Southwest web site to view the details of your RR points, it will only show total points per category(i.e. - retail, credit card, other) for that billing cycle. In other words, you are trusting that you got all the bonus points you should have, because that detail is never disclosed by Southwest. You can't verify that you got all the points for your 2x,3x, etc.. purchases.
